Ronald C. O'Donnell, 67, of 85 Pittsburgh Circle, Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in the Ellwood City Hospital. Born on March 4, 1944 he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene Gibbons Hulick. He married the former Debra "Debbie" Thompson on May 26, 1979 and she preceded him in death on November 24, 2005. Ron was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and a 1962 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was a member of the Ellwood Sons of Italy Lodge, the Ellwood Hungarian Home and the Moose. He enjoyed working on old cars, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ron is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald C. and Valerie O'Donnell, Jr., a daughter and son-in-law, Jeniffer and Randy LoFaso, all of Ellwood City, four grandchildren: Lauren, R.J. and Matt LoFaso and Megan O'Donnell, and four sisters: Joyce O'Donnell of New Castle, Joellen Whitlach and Michelle Stabryla, both of Ellwood City and Pamela Shanor of Chewton. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, George O'Donnell. Friends will be received on Friday, October 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 15th at 10:00 AM with Fr. Mark L. Thomas of Holy Redeemer Church. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
So sorry for the family's loss! Ron and I were friends many years ago in Ellwood City, Pa.
