Ralphetta Ann Majors

Ralphetta Ann Majors, 78, of 1440 Cherry Hill Rd., North Sewickley Twp., passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 in St. John's Lutheran Care Center in Mars. Born in Ellwood City on December 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frank "Grundy" and Stella DeVinney Volpe. She married Harold Duane Majors on July 29, 1953 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2011. Ralphetta retired from Romar Textiles where she worked as a packer for over 20 years. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and its Christian Mothers. She was also a member of Corona D'Italia Lodge and was a 1952 graduate of Lincoln High School. Ralphetta enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Brad Thellman of Ellwood City, three grandchildren, Nicole and Mike Basile, Haley Thellman and Dylan Thellman, a great-granddaughter, Ava Lynn Basile, 4 sisters, Clara Turco of New Castle, Louise Vitullo, Pedue LaCava, and Flicka and Dino Colaberadino, all of Ellwood City and a brother, Earl Tyler of Ellwood City. In addition to her parens and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Alan Majors and a brother, Ralph Doc Volpe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31st from 4-8 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 1st at 11:00 AM with Rev. Chris Davis. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mrs. Majors at St. John's. She was a very special lady always with a smile on her face for us. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I will miss her alot. God Bless.

Mom, I miss you so much and I hope and pray I did all I could for you I love you so much! I wish you could be here to hold Ava you would just love her so much and you would melt holding her in your arms....I thought she would be the one to make you better. Mom I love you so much and I miss you so.
