Nancy DeLisio, 91, formerly of Aliquippa, passed away at her residence at Northview Estates in Ellwood City on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:35 AM. Born in Ellwood City on May 1, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lena Massine Pertile. She married James R. DeLisio on May 8, 1948 and he preceded her in death in March, 1983. She was a 1939 graduate of Lincoln High School. Nancy was an assembly worker at Triridge Corp. in Clinton, PA. She was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Hopewell where she volunteered in the office and was the former housekeeper and cook. She was also a member of its Christian Mothers. Nancy enjoyed dancing with the Swingers at the Sons of Italy. Mrs. DeLisio is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, James R. and Trudy DeLisio of San Diego, CA, and Gary L. DeLisio of Baltimore, MD and two grandchildren, Vanessa DeLisio of York, PA and Airman Justin DeLisio of Spandau Airforce Base, Germany. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Virginia Maietta, Geraldine Magnifico and Elizabeth Lemanski and two brothers, Louis and Richard Pertile. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 13th from 6-9 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 14th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Hopewell with Fr. Howard Campbell. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Nancy's name to the Holy Redeemer Angel Fund, 301 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City, PA 16117 Nancy's family would like to thank the staff of Northview Estates, Vitas Hospice, the Ellwood City Hospital staff and doctors and Dr. Shetti, a longtime family physician.
