Michael W. Schinabeck, 87 of 301 Lunn Blvd., Farrell passed away at O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center on March 20, 2011 at noon. Michael was born in St. Mary, PA on October 16, 1923 to the late George and Clara Heindl Schinabeck. He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa Moyer Schinabeck whom he married on November 26, 1942. He retired in 1986 after 40 years service in Plant Protection at Sharon Steel. Michael was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Church where he was a commentator, alter apostolate and member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of Farrell FOP, Farrell VFW Post 5286 and Farrell American Legion Post 160. Michael was a veteran of the 5th Army Air Force serving in the Pacific in World War II. He also served in the Korean War. Besides his wife, he is survived by a 2 children, Margaret and George Ondich of Hermitage and Michael J. Schinabeck of Fredericksburg, VA, 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, George, Gilbert and Francis Schinabeck and 3 sisters, Margaret Schinabeck, Irene Baumgartner and Marie Catanese. Friends may call at the Tomon Funeral and Cremation Serives in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E. State St., Sharon on Tuesday from 6 to 9 P.M. where the Rosary will be recited at 8:45 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. by Fr. Donald Berdis. Interment with full Military Rites will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. Family suggests contribution in Mr. Schinabeck's name can be made to Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann Church.
