Mary Karsonovich, 91 of Masury, OH passed away in her residence on Thursday, July 9th at 5:10 AM. Born in Masury on March 31, 1918 Mary was the daughter of the late John and Martha Kraynak Slovesko, Sr. She married Julius "Ceasar"Karsonovich on January 26, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1991. She was a member of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Sharon and a member of the Sr. ACRY of the church. Mary enjoyed playing bingo and bowling when she was able. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Larry Long of Mercer, a granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Sean Miller, a grandson, Larry C. Long, a great-grandson, Brandon James Miller and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Michael and George Slovesko. Visitation will be held at Tomon Funeral and Cremation Services in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Panachida service at 8:00. A Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday, July 13th at 10:00 AM at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel with the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Michael Slovesko, celebrant. It will be preceded by a brief service at the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Karsonovich's name to the St. John's Building Fund, 725 Cedar Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
