Mary Hall Eberhart, 104, of Prosperity, South Carolina, formerly of the Hartstown-Jamestown Area in PA, passed away at Agape Hospice in Lexington, SC on April 19, 2017. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 2, 1913, Mary was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Osinski Hall. She married Henry George Eberhart on November 21, 1935 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 1986. Mary was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Hermitage. An artist, locally well-known for her oil paintings, Mary also spoke seven languages and acted as a translator in her early years for many local families. Mary is survived by her daughters; Veronica, wife of Col. William Arrants of Lexington, SC, Marilyn, wife of Dr. David Dull of Hubbard, OH, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Henry G. Eberhart, Jr., two sisters, Anna Kolody and Tina Chasen and four brothers; Michael, Frank, Peter and George Hall. Friends will be received on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM with Fr. David Mastroberte at St. John’s Orthodox Church, Route 18 at Morefield Rd., Hermitage. Interment will follow in St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Tomon Funeral & Cremation Services, 264 E. State St., Sharon.
