Dorothy Hando, 92 of 1069 Bon Air Dr., Sharon passed away peacefully at Sharon Regional Health System on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 5:40 A.M. She was born in Sharon, PA on July 12, 1918 to the late John and Katherine Terpack Wansack. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hando on December 27, 2004. They were married on January 19, 1947. Dorothy had worked as a Operator at Columbia Beauty Shop in Sharon. She was a member of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church and a former member of the A.C.R.Y. She was a graduate of the Sharon High School Class of 1936. She was a member of the Sharon General Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of several bowling leagues in the Shenango Valley. She also enjoyed playing bingo and working crossword puzzles. She always enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City with her daughter. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Shelley Hando of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews. The last of her family, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis John Hando, a brother, John Wansack and 2 sisters, Marie Andrews and Veronica Small. A Funeral Service will be offered at St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel in Hermitage on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11 A.M. by Msgr. Michael Polanichka. Interment will follow in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery. Friends may call at the Tomon Funeral and Cremation Services in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 E.
