Donald L. Hathcock, 82, of 290 VanGorder Mill Road, Perry Township passed away on Wednesday, July 25th at 12:06 PM in the emergency room at the Ellwood City Hospital. Born in Ft. Hood Texas on August 23, 1929, Donald was the son of the late Cecil and Clara Matthews Hathcock. He married the former Jessie Euleta Lemings Barkley on January 15, 2002. Donald was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Juanita Hammond on February 6, 2001. Donald was a retired Pentecostal pastor and attended both the 1st Church of God in Ellwood City and Lighthouse Pentecostal Holiness in New Castle. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Mark Hathcock of Harrison, AR, Michael and Angel Hathcock of Springfield, MO, Sandra Redemer of Springfield, MO, Sharon Campbell of Fresno, CA, four step-children, Debra and Tom Oliver of St. Cloud, FL, Tim and Sharon Barkley of Lakeland, FL, Lisa and Harry Zeigler of Ellwood City, PA and Darleta and Bobby Burris of St. Petersburg, FL, a brother, W.L. Hathcock of Corcoran, CA and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visiation will be held on Saturday, July 28th from 6-8 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. Interment will take place in Bellefonte Cemetery in Bellefonte, Arkansas.
Don you were a great man and took great care of my grandmother. We all appreciate that. I will remember you for several reasons but the biggest is always being you no matter the company. Thank you.
