Dennis H. Parks, 63 of 208 VanGorder Mill Rd., Perry Township pass away at the VA Medical Center in Aspinwall on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 1:05 A.M. He was born in Ivydale, Clay Co., WV on August 25, 1946 to the late Russell H. and Elzeve Murphy Parks. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. While in the service he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a 1964 graduate of Slippery Rock High School. He is survived by two sisters and their husbands, Connie and Nick Reda of Rochester, NY and Patricia and Robert Ottobre of Perry Township. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Parks on August 27, 1978. Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Services will be offered at Wurtemburg Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11 A.M. by Pastor Jay Parkman. Interment will follow in Wurtemburg Cemetery. The Veterans Honor Guard will provide full military rites.
