Charles E. Cook, Jr., 71, of Fombell, passed away at the VA Medical Center in Butler on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 5:45 AM. Born in Rochester, PA Charles was the son of the late Charles Cook and Frances Mock Comby. A 1963 graduate of Riverside High School, Mr. Cook was self-employed, he installed security systems. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Freedom American Legion. Charles is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Robert E. and Wendy Cook of Brooksville, FL, Ronald V. and Heather Cook of Fombell, his step-father, William Comby of Beaver Falls, two brothers; Robert Cook of Beaver Falls and William Comby of Conway, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Sunday, August 7th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. Full military honors will be conducted by the Veteran's Honor Guard at 3:00 PM. Interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
