To the whole Smith Family I would like to express my deepest Sympathy. Birdie was an extraordinary woman. She was a big influence in my life and she will be missed. I was very lucky to have had her as a role model growing up. She was the epitome of a hard working, independent, tough woman. I have tried to remember a time that she ever had a cross word for me and I can only remember one when I fell off Paps wagon into the pig sty and she was going to have to tell my Mom what I was doing playing in the mud. I can still hear her and my Mom laughing at what a mess I was. Those memories of Birdie will always live on in my mind and heart. May she rest in peace.
