Andrew Manning Pounds, II, 43, of 1585 Fox Street, Ellwood City passed away in Hagerstown, MD where he was working, on Sunday, October 20, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born on February 18, 1970 in New Castle, PA Andrew was the son of Ralph Pounds, Sr. and the late Edith Duncan Pounds. Andrew is survived by his children: Andrew Manning Mercado, Michael, Melinda, Adam, Justin, Joseph, Tiffany, Zachary, Tyler, Cullen, Carissa, Kylie and Ella-Mae Pounds, five grandchildren, Emily Mercado, Ralph L. Pounds, IV, Joseph Pounds, Raeghan Pounds and Marcus Ellis, a brother, John Pounds of Enon Valley and a sister, Irona Carr of Ellwood City. In addition to his mother, Andrew was preceded in death by a son, Franklin L. Pounds, a brother, Ralph L. Pounds, II, a brother-in-law, Raymond M. Carr and two nephews, Ralph L. Pounds, III and John A. Pounds, Jr. and his grandparents, Leroy and Gladys Peak Pounds and Orville and Helen Bauder Duncan. Friends will be received on Friday, October 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 26th at 1:30 PM with Rev. Thomas Meling of Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Cemetery.
