Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory
A funeral should be personal and meaningful. We will work with you to help you plan a service that honors your loved one and celebrate the life they lived.
Our Ellwood City Location
Our Ellwood City Funeral Home is located at 97 Grim Avenue and offers a large off-street parking lot, maintained, and well-lit. Our one acre lot can accommodate 60 vehicles. The lot can be accessed from either Grim Avenue or Route 488.
Our 7,000 square foot facility is completely handicap accessible . It does not have a single step! We also have a wheelchair available on-site. Our beautiful new building features wide hallways and viewing rooms that can accommodate both small and large families.
We are the Ellwood Area's ONLY Crematory . Many funeral homes offer cremation services but they do not have a crematory. If your funeral director does not have a crematory, ask them what crematory they use. Our crematory is available for your inspection.
We also offer a children's playroom! This special room is designed to make children feel welcome in an unfamiliar place. Often, chidren are not included in funerals. We welcome them. We also have literature available, free of charge for parents to use as a guide when talking to their children about death.
Our Community Room provides families with a place to have a cup of coffee. It also provides small groups a place to meet. We would be happy to provide a program for your group.
Our Sharon Location - Tomon Funeral & Cremation Services
Our Sharon location is conveniently located in the heart of the Shenango Valley. Our funeral home is easily accessible to I-80, Rt. 18, Rt. 60, and I-79. We are located at 264 East State Street, in the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home.
Our off-street parking lot is large, maintained, and well-lit. We also provide parking lot attendants to assist patrons during visitations. The lot is located directly behind the funeral home and can be accessed from State Street.
The parking lot entrance is handicap accessible. We also have a wheelchair available on-site.
We now offer a children's playroom! The experience of going to a funeral home can be difficult for children, especially in a strange building full of grown-ups! This special room is designed to make children feel welcome in this unfamiliar place. We also have literature available, free of charge for parents to use as a guide when talking to their children about death.
Our viewing rooms are cozy and warm. Funerals, like weddings and baptisms are rituals that are celebrated among family and friends. Our rooms allow everyone to gather together, in the same room and receive friends and relatives. Often, a funeral is also a time of reunion and we encourage people to stay and visit with each other. Catch up with old friends and meet all the different people who were important to the deceased.
